Em seemed nnecessary and weird looking I love what Saxton Freymann and Joost Elffers do with food This time they wrote a story to go with their cool vegetable sculptures The main characters are all pumpkins each with their own personality The story itself was just a little silly but I think kids would enjoy it While this isn t my favorite by Freymann and Elffers this is still worth the time just to see the food sculptures this is a cute book would be a really good book for the fall season very good illustrations this was a book that i would share with my class Not as good as the other books from the same creators Plot isn t their strong point but rather variety and expression I really love Play With Your Food so I enjoyed creativity of these very fu. Nny illustrations The story isn t that exciting but I can see kids enjoying its silliness I would not recommend this book for a classroom I would also not personally put this book in my own classroom This book really confused and it was a little all over the place I pretty sure that there are some words in this book that aren t even words for example wed ober sdiff sdeezed I also did not like the pictures sed Overall I did not like this book The main reason I give this book so many stars is because of my daughter s reaction to it is that this is the first book that I can remember my daughter asking me to read over and over and over again I m talking back to back here I finally had to tell her no It really is a good book but not a 5 star on it s own Oes little Nimkin and Mrs Sniffen too We're sure you'll have guesses of your own before the mystery is solvedFrom a hearty stock of sculptural talent and graphic ability mixed in with the sense of humor and wit of kids Saxton Freymann has created a pumpkin stew that will stay fresh all year round.
