Rations VERY nice art workWell designedThe storymemoir s dull to the extremeThe activities of and crises faced by this girl are so mundane and typical as to be soporificI can t help thinking that Everybody Matters if this book were reflecting on a North American girl of this periodage levelfamily backgroundnstead of one living The Slaughter in the Soviet Union this publisher would not have remotely considered publishingt And even though the book Three Mothers, Three Daughters is setn the Soviet Union and the transition to Russia Three by Atiq Rahimi is part of the timeline there seems to be no cultural point tot A Year Without Mom was a nice little read on this windy cold snowy day The narrative was Magical Garden 2018 Calendar: Coloring Meditations Inspired by Nature interestingt was told The Pages in present tense which I wasn t expecting and madet feel like Hija de la fortuna it wasn t a memoir but a fictional story The cool things about memoirss that the author looks back on their life and decide how to share their life with their readers But since this was told The Black Widower in present tenset have that looking back thoughtful possibly nostaglic uality that a lot of memoirs especially graphic memoirs have The writing was also The Learning Curve incredibly simple There were a lot of caps and exclamation points and soooo s which made the narrative sound juvenile There also wasn t too much emotion behind anything I expected the story to have feeling since this young girl Dasha had to live for a yearn Russia while her mother was The Night Listener in America butt just felt like Dasha explaining a series of events and her mother just happened to be absent Maybe I just unaware of the target audience here Maybe this was written as of a middle grade and I didn t realize that Either way I was just surprised that T Shirt And Genes it felt much like a book for younger readers since I wasn t expecting that Thellustrations In the Electric Eden in this graphic novel were beautiful though I love the color palette all black white and grey with accents of red Tolstikova has a very distinct style that really fit the feel of this story I did say there was a bit of a lack of emotion less than I expected but that doesn t mean this novel didn t have any feeling I spent a much longer time exploring themages The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey in this novel than the words I will definitely flip through this again and again just for thellustrations because they really are something special I wanted to bump the start rating up just for the The Reckoning (Maeve Kerrigan, illustrations but the narrative style was just too different from what I was expecting This was by no means bad 3 stars means I enjoyed the novel If the target audience of thiss young readers and Wiggins, Sherlock et le Mysterious Poison - collection Tip Tongue - A1 dcouverte - ds 10 ans is possible a way to get themnto graphic novels or memoirs then this was done very well I just don t fully know what the The Enchanted Wood (The Faraway Tree, intent of this novel was sot s hard to say f t fulfilled that whatever t s A Year Without Mom was a very nice read though Very nice and very pretty The Virgin Soldiers indeed A Year Without Moms abs.
